Our leadership team

Sparked by a desire to create a more inclusive approach to the typical agency model, Big Thinkers Society was founded by Laura Porto Stockwell in 2014.

Laura Porto Stockwell

CEO & Founder

Laura has 25 years of experience developing inspired and actionable digital strategies for brands including Alaska Airlines, Amazon, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Microsoft, Sony Music, T-Mobile and Toyota. She’s held executive level roles at agencies in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and Milan. In addition to leading Big Thinkers Society, she is a regular guest lecturer at the University of Washington, teaches online strategy courses and speaks often at industry events. Laura holds a B.S. in journalism from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a masters in media studies with a focus on social media from The New School.

Kim Tinney

Project Management Director

Kim brings more than 15 years of experience to her role as Director of Project Management at Big Thinkers Society. She is experienced in both project and product management in corporate and agency environments. Her impressive client list includes Starbucks, Hulu, Bravo, Xbox, Nintendo, Nike, The Sounders and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Kim holds degrees in Graphic Communications and Design for Web, is a certified Scrum Master.

Jonny Bobgan

Creative Director

Jonny brings a unique combination of graphic designer and web development to his role as Creative Director. With more than a decade of experience and a passion for building and refreshing brands, he puts strategy at the core of his process, working closely with clients to create cohesive brand systems that position them for success. Jonny is a graduate of Seattle Central Creative Academy and has served in the Marine Corps.
